A EDUCAÇÃO NO BRASIL A PARTIR DOS ANOS 90: CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA PESQUISA ETNOGRÁFICA PARA O CAMPO EDUCACIONAL

RESUMO

O artigo versa sobre etnografia como abordagem de investigação utilizada por antropólogos, sociólogos e educadores na descrição detalhada da vida cotidiana de populações investigadas. O método qualitativo é o que melhor adequasse na investigação da realidade escolar através da investigação etnográfica que possibilita o conhecimento de todas as variáveis que influenciam o contexto escolar, como: sujeitos, lugar, relações e significados. A pesquisa etnográfica a partir dos anos 90 foi empregada com maior ênfase na educação brasileira como forma de melhorar as investigações realizadas em instituições de ensino.

ABSTRACT

The article turns on ethnography as investigation approach used by anthropologists and educators in the detailed description of the daily life of investigated populations. Several research methods exist and among those that best adapted to investigate the school reality it is the qualitative method through the investigation ethnography that makes possible the knowledge of all the variables that influence the school context, as: subjects, place, relationships and meanings. The research ethnography starting from the nineties was used with larger emphasis in the Brazilian education as form of improving the investigations accomplished at institutions of instruction.
